Re: JR member program
In Response To: JR member program ()

This isn't open to non-member's children, is it? I assumed the Jr Member program was more or less an activity for member's kids where they receive coloring books and pretty fake chips. If we are talking about starting children's real casino chip collections (especially non-member's kids), I think that totally sends the wrong message. I've been collecting for 18 years and neither of my kids own a real chip or dice. They have asked, but I don't think its appropriate for my 11 year old to go to school with Las Vegas casino chips in her purse.

Its hard for me to understand what the good lessons would be for educating children about chips. At least with coins and stamps there is world history and presidents. The history behind chips are casinos, and we all know there are not many children-safe stories involving them.

I guess I don't understand the focus, but this is the first time I have thought about it. I trust the BOD and I'm sure they have thought it though more than myself.
