Barry Sherwood

Barry Sherwood

President

My wife, Gayle, and I reside in Reno where we own Great Basin Internet Services. I also moonlight as a poker dealer/supervisor at 3 local casinos. I primarily collect $5 Nevada chips, but recently have branched out into Silver Strikes. I have many goals for the club, revolving around optimizing structure, technology and transparency to enhance member experience to better ensure the club remains viable and thriving long into the future.

Ed Hertel

Ed Hertel

Vice President

I have been a member of the CCA since 1996 and focus primarily on collecting and researching unlicensed gambling establishments (aka illegals). I have been committed to sharing my knowledge through the club by giving multiple seminars during conventions, as well as writing dozens of articles for the club's magazine. I have served as an administrator for the club's Chip Guide and have assisted in various club committees through the years. Outside of the club, from Houston, Texas, I publish a free online Illegal Chip Guide which has been an instrumental tool in helping collectors and researchers identify chips from unlicensed clubs.

Bud Wisinski

Bud Wisinski

Treasurer

I’m Bud Wisinski. I’m a Los Angeles resident and I live there with my wife of over 40 years. I’m a very modest chip collector but I enjoy the Club magazine and convention. I joined the Club Board of Officers as treasurer because there was a need that I was well qualified to fulfill. A CPA now retired; but I do all of the finance functions for the Burbank, California, Moose Lodge. I hope you enjoy the convention. I’ll see you there (or in the poker room).

Bob Pardue

Bob Pardue

Secretary

Bob is a self-professed “old timer” in the casino collectibles hobby, having joined CCA as a Charter member in 1988 and now a Life member (CLM-0003-40). Nearly 40 years later, he still enjoys adding chips to his collection and studying the history of Nevada casino gaming. These days, he focuses mainly on classic-era Nevada chips, $5 denominations and less, though he has a broad interest in chips, plaques and other casino-related items worldwide. Manufacturer samples and casino architecture and graphics are special interests as well. Bob has been active in the CCA as an individual member, a prior volunteer operator of the club Library, a prior co-Tournament Director of the Poker & BJ Tournaments, and the current CCA Promotions Director. Bob is retired, married to Denise, and lives in Orange County, Southern California.

Mike Nawrocki

Mike Nawrocki

Membership Officer

Mike loves collecting all things related to Las Vegas, and his pursuit of obtaining a single chip from every casino that ever existed, while likely never to be completed, provides never ending joy. He joined the club in 2015, loves attending the annual convention as well as playing poker online with other members, and became the Membership Officer in 2025. After 33 years in the IT Consulting Industry, Mike retired in 2021. He and his wife Kathy live in the northern Houston suburb of Spring, Texas.

BOD At Large Position #2

After collecting LV and AC $1 chips since this 1990s I joined the club in 2018. In 2023 I joined the Membership Growth and Engagement Committee, helping in a variety of projects including the conversion to an e-magazine, getting the club onto Google Workspace, launching the Member Newsletter and engaging social media influencers to attend our annual convention. In Feb 2026 I was appointed Mentor Director and I am proud to lead new collectors around this fun hobby and great club!
