I really want to organize a meeting for people collecting Illegal chips as I realized there used to be meetings at past conventions but in the last few years this broke up. I do believe with a lot of "new blood" collecting Illegals that there will be much interest in an hour meeting.

What I like to know is how do I go about reserving a time and room at the convention for this.
I am not a good speaker but I can organize the hour into some good topics which I know people who collect Illegals will participate in. New finds for one thing should take up most of the hour along with their attributions. Another topic would be reasonable and revised evaluations in general in the hobby of Illegals. Any other topics feel free to list as I am just beginning with this idea but think it is not too early to start.

I am hoping 2012 will be a huge year at the convention for us Illegal collectors. Hoping we get Ed Hertel, Gene Trimble, Dave Spragg, Dave Hepburn (who is probably the biggest KY and OH collector of them all) and many others all there at the meeting. All the listed people have a great chance at being at this next coming convention.

Any idea for topics will be welcome. It would be nice it this was a once again permanent meeting at the convention. Yes I know at one time there was a club inside the CC>CC club but they have been done away with for reasons we don't have to go into. This hasn't deterred the Caribbean Club for existing and flourishing. I think we could easily get 30+ people at the meeting if not more.

I am tech challenged when it comes to setting up my lab top to interface with the screen etc to show certain chips. Was hoping collectors would email me their latest "new" finding that have not been around the block and we could start from there. Any information on what equipment I would need other than my lap top would be appreciated if it is possible we can secure a room.

Please feel free to give me advice and if anyone I named would rather not show up at such a meeting also blast me as I did not seek permission to put their names in this posting. I myself would be happy to spend the time on this, as it means I will still be alive and well at next years convention and for some of us that is good enough.

It's all about the enjoyment and history of the Illegal section of the hobby and I am sorry but I can't get enough of both to satisfy my hunger.
