In Response To: Palms Collectable Chips ()

Rob, not knowing who you are, and not wanting to make assumptions about your collector knowledge or time in the hobby, it is rather difficult to provide an answer.

However, allow me to say this about that.....

2004 $5 Playboy Xtreme Team (Excellent)
Book value - $10 - $14, as a practicle matter, probably $6.50 - $8.

2005 $1 Set J, Q, K & A (Excellent)
Book value - $3 - $4 each, as a practicle matter, probably $2 - $3 each and $6 - $8 for a set of all 4.

July 2006 No Value Jimmy's Naughty Nighty Nite Chip (Excellent)
Book value - $5 - $9, as a practicle matter, probably $6.50 - $8.

2003 $5 Jack Daniels Chip (Excelent)
Book value - $15 - $19, as a practicle matter, probably $6.50 - $8.

2003 $7 Jack Daniels Chip (Excellent)
Book value - $20 - $24, as a practicle matter, probably $10 - $15.

2004 $7 Jack Daniels Chip (Excellent)
Book value - $10 - $14, as a practicle matter, probably $10.

$7 Jack Daniels Racing (Excellent)
Book value - $10 - $14, as a practicle matter, probably $10.

$7 Jack Daniels Clint Boyer Racing (Excellent)
Book value - $10 - $14, as a practicle matter, probably $10.

2003 $25 Jack Daniels Chip (excellent)
Book value - $40 - $49, as a practicle matter, probably $30 - $40.

You ask: "its my understanding that there were only 707? of these made so I am curious as to what kind of price these might draw as a set."

Only the $25 had a limit of 707, while the other two ($5 and $7) had a mintage of 2007, each. 707 far exceeds the number of $25 collectors and 2007 exceeds the number of $5 and $7 collectors, so as a set, I do not believe that it has a value greater than the individual pieces.

Please keep in mind that the above is just my opinion, based on book values and how Limited Edition chips (issued in quantity) are doing in the economy at this time.

I hope this helps, but I suggest that you will be better served to post questions like these at thechipboard.com. It is frequented by 100's of collectors daily, some of whom are Palms specialists. While the questions posed here are OK for this Message Board, I'm just suggesting that you will likely get a quicker response there and if you follow that Message Board, you will get a better insight into values of Limited Edition chips.

Good luck!

Jim
