Charles Kaplan won the very first Greg Susong Memorial Award for his contributions to the chip collecting hobby for 2010.

Charles is a very deserving winner & it is fitting, as Charles has spent countless hours on The Chip Guide since it was donated to the MOGH. The Chip Guide was Greg's pride & joy & something he was very proud of & enjoyed adding chips to it on what seemed like a daily basis.

Steve Bedo made a very touching job of announcing the award & the family presented the award to Charles. Then Carol said a few words to those in attendance.

The family also had a nice time in their short stay in Las Vegas. Robert, Ross, Kathy & Bob & Jan went down to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop of TV fame to check it out. While there they were asked if they wanted to be in a crowd scene they were filming. They said yes & will be in a future episode. They also all visted Hoover Dam one day. Then Lauren, Robert & Ross one night went to the Stratosphere to Sky Jump. Free falling 108 floors!

Thanks once again to all of those who made it possible to bring out the Susong family to the convention this year through their donations. And to the for allowing the award to now be part of our hobby.

Once I run the auction for the chips that Allan Anderson donated I will then make a post here detailing how all of the funds raised were distributed & how much is left over to use for future Greg Susong Memorial Awards.
