tardy reply!

Other than trying to maintain continuity to a Contest I was running on TheChipBoard, I was very much absent (on-line) from last Friday until this Tuesday. What happened was I had a pre-scheduled 3-day weekend planned in Vegas with the family. First and foremost, I wanted to give them my undivided attention. But what re-enforced that was the fact that I left (forgot) my laptop in Tucson!

While I was at the Tucson airport, waiting for my flight out, I received the voter result call from President Steffner. I immediately sent an email of Congratulations to David and then boarded the plane and was out-of-touch for the next 2 hours. While I do have a handheld that can link me to the Internet, it is very difficult to seriously engage in exchanges both on the Message Boards and via email. And without my laptop, I was extremely limited in my awareness of the Message Boards.

But I was being barraged by Contest answers and the automated email generated by your reply post just escaped my attention.

Whew, sorry for such a long winded excuse, but please do not take my delay as anything other than an oversight of seeing your post!

I will see you in a few weeks and don't sweat the small things. Contrary to it's name, the Banquet is more about renewal of friendships and setting the course of the Convention. My best to Rena!
