The only reason I posted my opinion about the JR member program was to make our membership aware of the possible pitfalls that are out there when programs are created without considering all of the repercussions that we could accidentally create. Belinda has always done a great job with everything she has undertaken concerning our club. My intentions were never to degrade her or the fact that she volunteered to mentor this program. I also do not intend to tell the parents or Grandparents of any children involved with our organization what they can do or collect. That is know ones business but theirs. I am concerned when we as a club create something that could have a very negative impact on our reputation or in the worst case our actual existence. I am 100 per cent in favor of getting young people involved in this hobby. That being said, I feel that creating a program that targets kids 17 and younger for gambling/casino Collectables leaves us open for what outsiders could interpet as an unhealthy atmosphere. I'm not pushing for a revolt, or club referendum, or anything along those lines. I am asking our elected leaders to consider all of the possible consequences when implementing new policies and ideas. That is my position and intentions, whether you agree or disagree I hope take the time to think about our actions and policies and let our elected leaders know your thoughts.
