I also have to disagree that this new program is going to give the club a negative appearence. As stated earlier, most of these kids are going to be close relatives to people who already collect casino memorabilia and most likely already have an interest in the hobby. These children will need their parents permission to be involved and at that point the parents are the ones who have to determine if it would be a good hobby for there childen or not.
I'm not sure about other people but I know as a young child on holidays and family get togethers my family would allow me to play cards with them for pennys or nickles and nobody ever had a problem with it.... When I was young on Christmas every year my parents would buy a scratch off lottery ticket for my sister and I and put it in our stockings just because they knew we would have fun with it... What I am getting at is that most kids are brought up around some kind of gambling, casino games, card games etc... and it is the parents responsibility to determine what is ok and what isn't.
If parents don't agree with this hobby then they will have to tell their kids no. In my opinion most kids won't even relate these collectibles to gambling and will just see them as something old that looks cool. I understand your opinion but the way I see it is to many people worry about what "other people" will think. I completley look forward to seeing some younger collectors join the hobby so that it can continue long into the future. Happy new year to all. Dan R-8220
