about implementation:
Look into a MOGH Online Virtual Museum instead of a Brick and Mortar facility
This doesn’t seem to be a bad idea and something that needs to be looked into further. The idea will have to be discussed with Mike Skelton and the rest of the MOGH to look into this further.
Look into Facebook as a source of new members
The BOD believes that Facebook and other social media sites could be an excellent way to promoting the club with little or no costs. We need to contact some of our more knowledgeable members to get this idea working ASAP.
Look into allowing Corporate sponsors or having our members advertise other businesses like Cruises etc.
The BOD is open to this idea and will talk with Alan Anderson about allowing corporate sponsorships such as cruise ship companies/realtors/etc.
Align ourselves more with organizations like the ANA and have tables at other conventions
The BOD agrees with this suggestion and is already a club member of the ANA. We need our members who regularly attend these conventions or set up tables to sponsor tables for us or hand out applications.
Be more involved with major numismatic groups in order to make ourselves known around the world by those who are out in the field. ( Like FUN)
The BOD likes this idea but needs some assistance from our members who know more about these Numismatic groups. We are open to specific suggestions but need more information on what needs to be done. This may be a good topic for the Planning committee.
Look into the club hiring a professional Fundraiser for the MOGH
The BOD will speak with Sandra Harris in regards to fundraising.
Look into creating new Casino Chip Collector's Associations in Other Countries
Local European clubs would be wonderful and we completely encourage our non US members everywhere to organize local clubs to create interest in collecting around the globe.
Put on a display of chips around the U.S.A in Casinos, Banks, your local library, maybe give a talk and display at the senior centers.
The BOD likes this idea and members will be encouraged to step up to volunteer at shows on behalf of our club and to promote our club.
Get somebody into the radio stations and TV stations with the stories about the hobby’s popularity
Sheldon is doing everything he can to promote both the club and the hobby. If any of our members have an in with a radio or TV station we would love to have you contact the BOD so we can set up something.
