The BOD has received a formal proposal from a club member requesting the creating of a Junior membership category.
There was much discussion about this among the BOD and a differing of opinions among the BOD members. A few of the items proposed were things that we liked and others we didn’t care for. An alternate proposal was made to the member who made the proposal and the BOD is in the process of securing a person to run this program. What we would like to see is a program that allows younger folks who are already (Or can become) either Regular members or associate members to take part. No additional membership category would be needed and those program participants can enjoy the benefits of the program including things like special chips, a kids newsletter, convention activities, ect. More will be discussed once the full details are worked out.
