The act of displaying this information may go a long way in providing an increased level of comfort for the prospective buyer since the seller is a member of a our organization.
As a result, I believe if a transaction goes badly and the seller believes he was "wronged", the buyer should have the ability to file a complaint against the member. Especially when the club's name was involved in "advertising" the transaction. (I'm not saying only those transactions involving club's name qualify for complaints - just saying that's another reason why club should allow non-members to a file claim).
I'm of the opinion that anyone (club member or not) should have the ability to file a claim against a member. I hope that all claims are handled the same regardless of the membership status of the person filing the claim.
