Very true...in addition, all
members arebound by the club's Code of Ethics. These Code of Ethics do not state that they apply solely when dealing with other club members. As a benefit of becoming a
member, you gain the right to pursue action against another member if they have violated the club's Code of Ethics. If a non-
member feels that they have been "wronged" by a club member, they should have available the same avenue of recourse as a club member would have if "wronged" by a non-member. If a non-member files a claim against a club member, in my opinion we are wasting valuable volunteer time for the VP and the Claims Director as well as any club funds spent during this "non-member versus member" claims process.
As noted earlier, all
members are bound by our Code of Ethics in ALL of our dealings; the right to pursue action against a club member, in my opinion, is a privilege that we pay for through the cost of our membership.
