~~~ articles to know that our club/hobby is so much more than just 'casino chips' as you've focused on, without even mentioning any of all the other aspects such as playing cards, postcards, gaming devices and architecture; of which there are hundreds of books entailing this and more, and even if we were limited to just casino chips, alone, we all know there are way more obsolete chips collected in our hobby than active chips... and the idea of current chips being a problem to amass by a younster isn't even a concern with the well-organized, on-line offerings and what's made available thru our fine magazine.
What I see more than the few younger collectors coming on board, is the fact that we would not be limiting our membership; but rather welcoming membership no matter what their age.
BTW; I, too, remember those family poker games around grandma's table after sunday dinner. Us kids made it a point to make the rounds shaking uncle Mike's hand and kissing aunt Marie goodbye in order to score a silver dollar (wish I had them today)...
