I log on most mornings for a few minutes while I have a coffee before work, which for me in the UK is early hours for most of you in the USA, and there are often span messages that get cleared out once the administrators log on - in the evenings it is all clear. I do get a few spanm emails, but even my basic Yahoo email accounts automatically puts them all into the spam folder, so never an issue. If someone is getting lots of spam, then perhaps they need to find a better email provider who can filter them out?

I occasionally visit other message boards that require log-in to access - yes, that can mean less spam, but much less likely to find any messages from occasional visitors which for me is part of the attraction of these boards.

And finally, to re-iterate David's point, the message boards (this one, the Chipboard, Silver Strikers etc) are free to use and kept clear of most spam by volunteers, so I find it difficult to see other people (especially those who are not members of the club based on the name in the post!) criticising how the board is managed!
