I think we need to think about the probability of the existence of these chips.

Is it possible that they exist? Yes!! Despite the strict destruction policy in AC, we know that games can be played and who can say what control there was when Playboy closed.

If the story is true, what is the connection between Hunter's Grandfather and the Playboy? How did he get these chips? And for the last 12 years, none of these chips surfaced in any quantity. Grandpop just used them for poker with his buddies!!!!

Hunter's story - "grandfather had used them for years in poker games" is the story behind several chip finds. I have heard it about older Nevada chips but "years" meant many more years than 12. It may be true or it may be a re-hash of a famililar story. Also, keep in mind that in AC, chips are always redeemable for face. Of course, if these were obtained illeglly, then redemption would not be an option.

Much to consider and think about. It is a shame that the uncertainty places a cloud over these and perhaps all AC Playboy chips. It will take quite a while before this situation changes unless the hoard surfaces or the evidence is strong that this is a hoax.
