Well Bruce; Your response certainly does put a different light on the situation. If you would like to respond to Mr. Haas' alegations that were posted on the club's message board, and those who have responded to Haas, ..... here is the link to his post. http://www.ccgtcc.com/cgi-bin/mb/config.pl?read=7738
Feel free to refute or to make any comment in response that you feel would lessen the impact of Haas' post. Regards, Archie Black

Well if Mr. haas had played by the rules of ebay this never would have happened. He offered to run up the bid which I told him not to do. He insisted on talking about chips other than the one in my auction which is forbidden under ebay rules. he told me he had been burned by others & couldn't wait to burn them back. I am not a collector. When I initially told him this he would not believe me. I simply gave him what he asked for. I had no idea what any of this is all about. Evidently Mr. haas is well aware of all this. I was given 2 chips & was told they are worth money so I tried to sell. Tell Mr. haas when you play with fire you get burned. I am sorry for any damage to your industry but find it hard to believe any long term damage will be done by someone running off at the mouth. I am quite sure it is all Mr. haas' doing because I told no one else any such thing. he asked for it I gave it to him. I would not trust him if I were a collector.
my sincere apologies

Bruce; All I know is what I've read on a bulletin board that is frequented by the chip hobby's most influential collectors and buyers of rare chips. www.thechipboard.com From what I've read, the value of these chips has now been severely devalued, primarily from your own games that you claim to have been playing with Haas. Everyone I've talked to seems to be Playboy gun shy.... not only about the backup Playboy chips... but of the regular issues that were in play as well. I'm sure run up in the market for these chips will be severely diminished in the near future and that anyone who has paid big prices for these chips in the past will be deeply turned off with the hobby in general. Yes he is a pushy guy who just insisted I had more chips. Something about somebody in TN and FBI & I don't know what all. I played along just to pull his chain. He bought it hook line & sinker then obviously spread the word after he swore me to secrecy. I never dreamed it would cause such a stir but I like to play around sometimes. Sorry for any inconvenience but I could resist he was adamant that he just knew I had a boatload of these chips.

Hi Bruce; Was looking for some information on Playboy backup chips I'm told that you have for sale. I am the author of "Catalog of Atlantic City Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens' which is the standard reference work on the subject ... and the numbers of Playboy chips I am hearing about is going to have a dramatic effect on pricing of these chips in future issues of my published catalog. Would appreciate your candid response as to quantities you have available, or numbers of chips you have recently sold, and possibly who was/is the original source that you got them from? Regards, Archie Black
