() 'event' to be such named after the person that organised it.
For example, the Bruce Landau Memorial Auction is called just that because Bruce was the auction chairman from day 1 until he passed.
IMO you could only really name the poker tournament after the person that originally organised it.
A new 'event' would be more appropriate IMO.
