No one said that you didn't have a choice of

where you choose to stay. Wayne's point was that it supports the club and future conventions to stay there and that without the support of members staying at The Riv, it jeopardizes negotiations for future conventions. With regards to how much time Wayne (or any of the ccgtcc officers) spends gambling or at the Splashbar, I don't really care. What they do with their time while at the convention is their business. The past three years, I have spent a total of about 30 minutes at the Splashbar and about two hours gambling inside The Riviera (other than at the poker tables grin ). It's just a matter of choice or preference...

While I may not agree in total with all comments corelating those that don't stay at The Riv with one's support of the ccgtcc , I was not fully aware of the impact that staying elsewhere really had / has. I have stayed at other hotels for the convention, but will only stay at the "host" casino / hotel for future conventions now that I have been made better aware of the negative impact.
