I know that it would cost the club money but maybe the Board should consider giving an award for booking rooms at the Riv. One idea is free admission to the bourse floor or maybe free admission to the Banquet. If the numbers quoted are correct it means that if the average stay is 4 days then there are only 150 rooms being booked by the 2000 attendees (150 rooms X 4 nites = 600 room nites). Even a small incentive may be enough to get more people to book rooms at the Riv.

One other thing that comes to mind if we do have problems at the Riv is to go back to the Tropicana. We left because they would not take any reservations at the time and that was 3 years ago. I don't know what their future plans are but it is a good place to consider if we need a new location. I really don't care where we stay as long as it is on the Strip.
