Perceptive post Mark and you've done a good job putting together some fragmented thoughts I've had also and I liked your summary.

1) Always something that looms on the LV landscape but a few years ago our other host hotel, The Trop, stopped taking convention business for a period because of pending sale and uncertain destiny and we found ourselves at the Riviera. Point being that the folks wrangling our conventions are pretty fast on their feet and while no Plan B may exist in fact, it always remains as background for our convention plans.

2) Two tiered admission! I like it! I've had similar thoughts but not so well conceived. Of course local Hall of Famers would get in free (with donation of a canned food).

3) Leadership level dues, I like that too and I'll be a charter contributor. You are certainly right about the status of our annual convention Mark. The opportunities available at our convention validate everything that make this club attractive in the first place.

4) Woof, the dealer core is a bear I don't want to poke at much. They do a pretty good job at representing themselves and I know I listen when they speak.
